The Pinnacles 1 day Tour
The Pinnacles Desert is one of Australia’s most fascinating landscapes. Located in Nambung National Park, The Pinnacles are natural limestone structures that were formed approximately 30,000 years ago and span 17,000 hectares of diverse natural habitat for many native animals, bird life, flora and fauna. The national park houses the Pinnacles Desert Discovery Centre which has fascinating information and displays that explain the natural phenomena and the region’s wildlife, flora and fauna.
The desert receives 600milimetres of rainfall annually, most of which takes place between May and September.

Apart from the amazing Pinnacles Desert, Nambung National Park is also known for its beautiful beaches at Kangaroo Point and Hangover Bay, coastal dune systems and low heathland rich in flowering plants. At the park’s northern end near the town of Cervantes, there is a loop trail and boardwalk at Lake Thetis where you can see sousually hot and dry, with an afternoon sea breeze. Wildlife rests during the heat of the day, and only appears in the cooler hours of early morning and evening.
